Timbergram, Big Love, £3.95
Our favourite brand-du-jour is the award-winning and innovative, Timbergram card company. Inspired by the original postcards of the 1900′s, these 3mm birch cards come in a range of witty, whimsical and vintage designs and are the perfect way to keep in touch. With a range of designs for all occasions, we can’t work out which we love the most. Working with the charity Tree Aid, Timbergram will plant a tree in Africa for every 10 cards sold. “The team at Gift Wrap HQ love Valentine’s Day. Mainly because we love any excuse to give gifts and wrap them up! By following a few easy steps you can create a really impressive wrapping, big or small. Just remember it is the act of giving and the time you take to wrap the gift that is most important!
1. Always keep a good stock of wrapping supplies. Keep them altogether in a box so you can keep track of what you have. At Gift Wrap HQ we have a very mix and match attitude towards wrapping, we like to have a few options and collect bits and pieces from all over the place.
2. Choose colours you like to work with, you don’t always have to be traditional. Pink and red are customary for Valentine’s Day but don’t be afraid to pick other colours if you prefer them. You can also choose the favourite colour of the recipient to show them how well you know them!
3. It is not always the size of the gift that counts. Sometimes it is nice to receive lots of little presents. A good way of giving these is in a party bag. We like to hide our gifts amongst lots of shredded paper so the recipient has to dig deep for them!

4. Disguising the gift is one of our favourite things to do. Hang onto all sorts of boxes and tubs so you can pop in awkward shaped gifts and decorate to make each present truly unique and a fun surprise. We love MT masking tapes, they come in a variety of colours and sizes, you can write on them and even reposition them for when you make a mistake.
5. The one thing that is always forgotten about on Valentine’s Day is that all gifts should be anonymous! So when you write your cards, don’t write who it is from! It is a fun tradition that should be kept.
Above all else, the key to amazing wrapping is to enjoy it and not worry about perfect creases or perfect bows. Just enjoy the act of wrapping and the best part, the act of giving!”
